About the Commission

 Introduction

The Boundary Commission for Northern Ireland is one of four advisory non-departmental public bodies in the United Kingdom required by the Parliamentary Constituencies 1986 Act, as amended, to keep Parliamentary constituencies under continuous review and periodically (every 8 to 12 years) to conduct a General Review of the number, boundaries and names of all Parliamentary constituencies, and make recommendations.
